Facts About Cellulite
Cellulite
is the name for bundles of fat stored between
the muscle and skin. Muscle is attached to the
skin through bands of fibrous connective tissue.
Under the influence of time, gravity and hormones,
the stored fat pushes against the connective tissue,
compressing the skin and causing the appearance
of dimples or puckers in the overlying skin.
While
most forms of cellulite occurs on the thighs and
buttocks, in some people, it also occurs on the
upper arm, the back of the neck, and stomach.
In most people, the appearance of cellulite worsens
with age. This does not mean, however, that younger
people do not get cellulite. Indeed, cellulite
often starts to develop at a young age. Left untreated,
this condition worsens in appearance as the person
ages.
Cellulite
Treatments
A number of treatments and creams have been introduced
over the past decade claiming to remove cellulite.
To date, these treatments have offered no results.
However, many treatment options are currently
being used in various spas & cosmetic surgery
centers. Treatments like mesotherapy, velasmooth,
and other procedures are producing positive results.
Mesotherapy &
Lipodissolve involves injecting microscopic quantities
of natural plant extracts, homeopathic agents,
pharmaceutical agents and vitamins into the skin
for cellulite, weight loss, spot reduction, and
rejuvenation of the skin.
Velasmooth &
Triactive combine multiple treatments including
lasers, radio frequency, massage or other techniques
to combat cellulite.
For Phoenix & Maricopa County residents who
suffer from Cellulite, there are many doctors,
dermatologists & medical spas that offer cellulite
treatment procedures. These doctors serve all
of the Phoenix area including Scottsdale, Chandler,
Maricopa, Mesa, Glendale, Gilbert, Paradise Valley,

Our approach to cellulite reduction is multifaceted.
The approach revolves around the need to reduce
fat, weaken the fibrous bands, and tighten lax
skin. Our unique Lipodissolve method does an incredibly
effective job, especially when combined with laser.
Radiofrequency treatment is a less invasive option.
A combination of both methods gives an even better
result.

Smartlipo
Treatments in Phoenix, AZ
SmartLipo, Smart Lipo, Laser Liposuction or laser
lipolysis, is a procedure for fat removal like
liposuction that utilizes the energy generated
from a laser fiber to "melt" fat away.
Laser liposuction is performed in a doctor's office
under a light, local anesthetic.
Traditional liposuction uses a vacuum with a
metal tube attached, which the doctor moves back
and forth as it tears out and removes fat. You
get more loose skin as a result, bleeding, swelling,
scaring and destruction of tissue. Sagging skin
sometimes necessitates additional surgical procedures
such as face or neck lifts. Alternatively, Smartlipo
uses a laser which melts away fat and results
in less destruction and bruising, less scaring
and no stitches. Recovery times are also faster
with Smartlipo.
Through an incision the size of a ball point
pen, the Smartlipo laser liquefies the fat making
permanent elimination easy without the down time
or recovery of traditional liposuction. The laser
also stimulates your own collagen and elastin
for an added skin tightening benefit to the treatment
area over the next few months.
Smartlipo is often used for treating small areas
of the face, neck, arms, male breasts (gynecomastia),
and other areas of loose or lax skin (flabby skin).

With SmartLipo very few tiny incisions
are made around the targeted surgical area to
inject the numbing local anesthetic and for insertion
of the small laser apparatus. The incisions require
no stitches, they heal within days, and they leave
no scars. Throughout the procedure, the surgeon
gently guides the laser device in and around the
area to successfully melt and remove the fat.
